If an advisor doesn’t ask you a lot of questions – it’s likely they’re actually nothing more than a salesman. Universities have thousands of unaware students who chose a course based on what sounded good – instead of what would yield an enjoyable career or job. It’s quite usual, in many cases, to thoroughly enjoy one year of training only to end up putting 20 long years into a career that does nothing for you, entirely because you stumbled into it without some quality research at the beginning.

You must also consider how you feel about earning potential, career development, plus your level of ambition. You need to know what the role will demand of you, what qualifications are required and how you’ll gain real-world experience.
